This video you are about to watch contains the background to the text- both the historical background and the author’s background of Across the Mongols by John Nkemngong Nkengasong. You are also going to see the textual analysis of the text – ie chapter by chapter analysis. Take note, I said analysis, not narration. At the A/L we analyze, we don’t narrate. Any attempt to narrate will earn you a fail mark.

Handle MCQs based on the text.
Understand the author’s objectives, background etc
Discrimination between the techniques of A/L literature. Understand fully the aspects of A/L literature such as; style, themes, characters, setting, plot, structure.
